Utrecht TMS course

The Brain Science Tools course on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and MRI-guided neuronavigation will be held on December 11 & 12, 2023. Information regarding the program, lecturers, and the exact date and venue will soon be updated on this website. Also keep an eye out for additional information through our social media accounts.

Both days consist of theoretical lectures providing the required background of TMS, and practical sessions where you can learn how to apply TMS protocols, perform MRI guided neuronavigation, and measure electromyograms (EMG) simultaneously.

The first day of the course is mostly aimed at the application of TMS in the clinical practice. Clinicians treating a variety of disorders will present their experiences using rTMS for the treatment of major depressive disorder, stroke, tinnitus, and much more. The main goal of the second day is to display the advances in TMS research and research applications. Topics such as the outcome measures of TMS, the biophysics of TMS, and the modeling of TMS coils and brains. For an extensive overview of the topics covered, please have alook at our program.
